Ged Killen, MP for Rutherglen and Hamilton West, said: “This report just demonstrates that there is no such thing as a good Brexit.

“Both the Scottish Government and the UK Government’s figures have shown that the more distant our trading relationship is with our European neighbours, the greater the potential impact will be on our communities.

“We are now more than three years on from the Brexit referendum and much more is known about the consequences of leaving the European Union.

“It is only fair that the public be given the opportunity to confirm in a public vote whether they still wish to leave the EU under terms negotiated by the UK Government, or if, having looked at the facts, they would now prefer to remain.”
