Rutherglen and Hamilton West MP Ged Killen visited Rutherglen Police Station on Friday (September 20) to meet with newly-appointed Inspector Stevie McManus, of the Local Problem Solving Team.

Ged discussed a number of local issues with Inspector McManus and Sergeant Scott Anderson during the visit.

The elected member also heard of the proactive work LPST officers in the area are doing, and the challenges they face.

Ged said: “It was great to meet with Inspector McManus and Sergeant Anderson to discuss the work of the Local Problem Solving Team in Rutherglen and Cambuslang.

“Our police force does a tremendous job, often under difficult circumstances, and I will be happy to support Inspector McManus and his team where possible.”

 

Inspector Stevie McManus said: “Having recently moved in to post it was a pleasure to meet Ged to discuss the local issues that directly impact on the members of the community within Rutherglen and Cambuslang.

“I was delighted to hear that he shares our passion and commitment to partnership working which is essential in tackling and addressing local priorities.

“I look forward to working closely with our elected members and partners in the future to achieve these goals.”
