In my time as the MP for Rutherglen and Hamilton West, a number of women in my constituency have contacted me regarding changes to the state pension age brought in by the UK Government. These changes affect women born in the 1950s and mean many will wait longer to get their pension and could lose tens of thousands of pounds in the process.

I am holding a public information meeting at the Cambuslang Institute (37 Greenlees Road, Cambuslang, G72 8JE) with the Glasgow and Lanarkshire branch of WASPI on Thursday 20th September at 6.30pm.

If you live in Rutherglen, Cambuslang, Blantyre or Hamilton and think you may be affected please come along to hear from campaigners about what action you can take to complain to the DWP.

If you are unsure about whether or not you may be affected please check the WASPI campaign website (www.waspi.co.uk) or call my office on 0141 641 0075
