Last week’s extreme weather posed a serious risk to the lives and safety of people throughout central Scotland. The Met Office issued a Red weather warning urging the public to take action to ensure that they keep themselves safe from the impact of the snow.

However, many employers demanded or pressured workers to travel to work. Many people were threatened with disciplinary action or having their wages deducted if they did not come into work.

I am urging the Government to take action to ensure that workers will not be penalised for refusing to travel when it poses a risk to their life, but to do this I need your help.

Do you have experience being pressured to come into work during extreme weather? If so please share this experience with me so that I can bring it up in Parliament and push the Government to prevent it from happening to anyone else.
